Healthy Snack Ideas for the summer!

Its easy to get distracted by all the yummy food there is to indulge on theses days. After a hard workout, some people enjoy a really unhealthy spluge on chocolate or a burger. But the truth is, all that hard work you put in to your excersise, has just gone to waste. So, next time you feel tempted to reach for that secret stash of candy, or your favourite bag of greasy potato chips, think of why wou worked out in the first place- to be a healthier YOU than YOU were yesterday!

Sincerely,

Sophia

Fruit and yogurt bowl

To be honest, I probably eat this snack twice a day. ITS SO EASY!!

2-3 scoops low fat vanilla yogurt

1 banana

handful of blueberries

1 teaspoon chia seeds

You can always replace the banana and blueberries with your favourite fruit, or whatever you have avaliable.

Green smoothie

1 mango-peeled and diced

2-3 leaves of kale

1 frozen banana

squirt of lime

splash of water or coconut water

tablespoon of honey.

Combine all in a blender until creamy consistancy. Top off with a pinch of chia seeds.

Beauty bowl

This bauty bowl was inspired by Cassey Ho, from blogilates. You ca see her versiona of this Beauty Bowl here.

begin by placing the bowl that you are going to eat out of in the freezer. This will prevent your beauty bowl from going warm while you enjoy it> It will also keep your beauty bowl nice and cool. Next, combine any of your favourite frozen fruit with a little bit of honey and a small spash of water in a blender. You dont want to add too much water, otherwise it will become more like a smoothie. Pour into chilled bowl. Top off with any fruits, seeds, or nuts. Enjoy!!!

MY FAVOURITE LUNCH EVER!!

Begin my simply frying an egg in a small sauce pan with a little bit of coconut oil on it. Next, spread 1/2 an avacado onto a piece of warm, whole gain toast. Place your fried egg on the toast. I put some mozerealla cheese on my egg while it was warm. I finished off my putting some fresh basil and chives from my garden on top. I also added some avacado.

This is seriously SOOO GOOD!!!

I hope you enjoyed these simple, healthy recipies!!
