Hello Everyone!!!

Unfortunetly, the weather forcast for Vancouver for the next week is 15mm of rain every day. And with all this dreary weather that is coming, I cant help but begin to stir up cozy fall decor ideas and yummy pumpkin recipies. I cannot explain in words how excied for fall I am! It is a beautiful season, with the leaves changing colour and all the warmth that fall brings. It is a family tradition to always go to a local pumpkin patch to pick out some colourful pumpkins and buy crisp granny smith apples. I'm SO excited!

To start getting into the fall spirit, I have come up with several ways that you can include simple fall touches into your everyday life.

As well, we have updated our last post, so make sure to check that out! <3

Sincerely,

Rebecca xx

1. Pumpkin Patch

The pumpkin patch! It always marks the beginning of autumn when you start seeing pumpkins and gourds lined up outside Walmart. But there is something specail and cozy about going to the pumpkin patch, and finding some pumpkins to bring home. As well, most pumpkin patches aslo sell various gourds in all shapes and sizes, as well as adorable white mini pumpkins.

2. Fall scents

Adding some fall scents into your home is also a great way to welcome autumn. I love burning Bath and Body Works candles in my kitchen, and after a few hours the aroma lingers into the other rooms in my house. On pinterest, there are plenty of fall scented potpourri recipies, and DIY Cinnamon scented pinecone ideas. Some of my favourite potpourri recipies are:

3. Pumpkin recipies and Chai tea

Pumpkin recipies are a classic fall staple. I'm OBSESSED with the Starbucks pumpkin spice scones. They are fall in a biscut! I have found some delicious copycat recipies online, and I will link them below. As well, the pumpkin chai tea from Davids tea has the most incredible flavour. It mixes two fall staples- chai tea and pumpkin- into one cozy and warming drink.

4. Dark Lips and gold accents

A staple look of mine for the summer was gold eyes and a light pink lip. A way that I can transition this look from summer to fall is to substiute the pink lipstick for a deep burgundy shade instead. One shade that I have been using for years is by Covergirl in the shade 'Smitten'. I have been also wearing Essie's Penny Talk (shown above) on my nails for the fall. Its the most stunning rosegold shade, and it has a very classy edge, and looks perfect with dark autumn colours.

5. Plaid accents

Plaid is a classic fall staple. It is a pattern that can easily be dressed up with a blaser and heels, or can be dressed down with casual jeans and ballet flats. There are many types of plaid peices that you can buy, from cozy blanket scarves, to skirts and blousers. <3
